Mabel Clara Dunbar was born 08 Nov 1887 in Southfield, Oakland County, Michigan. One of two children born to Clement Alexander Dunbar and Elisabeth Agnes Stewart, she married Frederick Richard Austin 02 Mar 1905 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Tragically, she succombed within three days time of catching the Spanish Infuenza (before her 44th birthday) on 21 October 1921. She left behind three small children, Robert Dunbar Austin (my grandfather), Elisabeth Rosemary Austin, and Frederick Richard Austin Jr.
